Jolie leads field in Peoples Choice Awards

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Angelina Jolie led the field with three nominations for the 32nd annual Peoples Choice Awards announced in Hollywood Thursday.

Jolie was nominated for Favorite Female Movie Star, Favorite Female Action Star and Favorite On-Screen Match-Up along with Brad Pitt for "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," E! Online reported. Pitt also garnered a nomination for Favorite Leading Man.

ABC's "Desperate Housewives," CBS' "CSI" and NBC's "Law & Order: SVU" received nominations in the TV drama category while TV comedy nods went to CBS' wrapped "Everybody Loves Raymond," Fox's "That '70s Show" and "The Simpsons."

UPN's "Everybody Hates Chris," CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" and, NBC's "My Name Is Earl" will battle for Favorite New TV Comedy Award while the Favorite New TV Drama nominees are ABC's "Commander in Chief," CBS' "Criminal Minds" and Fox's "Prison Break."

The nominees in eight more categories, including Favorite Movie, will be announced Nov. 28.

Public voting began Thursday at www.pcavote.com. The winners will be announced during the ceremony to broadcast Jan. 10 on CBS.
