LOS ANGELES, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Cable TV's Oxygen network Thursday announced Hollywood actress Taryn Manning will star in "Banshee" its first foray into the action genre.
The network, aimed at a female audience, has produced romantic comedies such as the upcoming made-for-TV film, "Romancing the Bride" starring Carrie Fisher and Laura Prepon, The Hollywood Reporter noted Thursday.

"Banshee" will have Manning, of "Hustle & Flow" and "8 Mile," playing a car thief who steals a killer's car and is forced to go on the run.
The movie is expected to air in late summer or early fall, The Reporter said.
