NEW YORK, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- A balloon of top-rated preschool cartoon show, "Dora the Explorer," has been added to the 79th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The 54-foot-tall balloon filled with 15,000 cubic feet of helium will become the first Latina-character balloon in the New York parade, the New York Post reported Thursday.

The Dora balloon joins four other Nickelodeon-based balloons -- "The Rugrats," Blue from "Blues Clues," "Little Bill" and "Spongebob Squarepants."
