LOS ANGELES, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- A British tabloid report that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie secretly wed has the stars' publicists working overtime to issue denials.

The Daily Star ran photos along with a story claiming Pitt and Jolie were married in a Buddhist ceremony attended by a few family and friends, the World Entertainment News Network reported Wednesday.

Pitt's rep, Cindy Guagenti, said the photo was actually from a scene out of their recent movie, "Mr. and Mrs. Smith."

"There's simply no truth to this whatsoever," she said.

The Daily Star report says the couple plan to go public with their marital status after going through a legal ceremony.
