NEW YORK, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Britain's Prince Charles introduced "my darling wife" Camilla to a celebrity group of New Yorkers at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
About 300 starry-eyed celebrities including Sting, Donald Trump, Yoko Ono and Henry Kissinger jockeyed for position to greet the visiting royals being feted at the gala reception Tuesday night, the New York Post reported.
"A lot of people wanted to say hi to them," designer Diane von Furstenberg told the Post. "I think she (Camilla) was very attractive."
Ono said: "I really think she is a very, very sweet person."
About 100 people waited outside the art museum to catch a glimpse of the royals. The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall grinned as they were greeted by cheers from the well-wishers.
