Monica Bellucci turns away from Hollywood

ROME, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- "Passion of the Christ" star Monica Bellucci says she abhors the way Hollywood treats women and has no plans to leave Italy for Tinsel Town.

Bellucci, 41, said Hollywood is obsessed with youth and beauty, while in Italy she is allowed to be "natural," the World Entertainment News Network reported Tuesday.

"I could never live there," she said of Los Angeles. "They are obsessed with youth and beauty even more than us. There is this thing in America where actresses reach 40 and go mad. The film industry wants all these young people. They also like a different sort of woman (than me). I will never be skinny.

"I also had a child a year ago, and I have been lazy. I love to eat. Who cares? I am natural."
