LOS ANGELES, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- "Ghost Whisperer" Jennifer Love Hewitt is gearing up to take on the roll of a Texas housewife hooker.

Her LoveSpell Entertainment company has acquired the rights to Texas Monthly's article, "She Had Brains, a Body, and the Ability to Make Men Love Her," The Hollywood Reporter said Tuesday.

The article in the January issue of the magazine is about a 22-year-old Odessa, Texas homecoming queen who grows up to be a housewife and a prostitute. Her arrest along with a number of prominent Odessa residents created a scandal that rocked the town.

The big screen story is expected to be adapted into a comedy, The Reporter said.
