Production is to begin on both shows early next year with the new seasons set to bow in the summer of 2006.

The upcoming 10th season of "Stargate SG-1" will make it the longest running science-fiction drama on U.S. TV. The previous record-holder was Fox TV's "The X-Files," which ran nine seasons.
