Former 'Home Improvement' star to wed

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Actor Zachery Bryan, who played Tim Allen's son Brad Taylor on "Home Improvement" has asked his longtime girlfriend, Carly Matros, to marry him.

The engaged couple are "thrilled and excited" and planning a wedding next summer his rep, Amanda Glazer, told People magazine.

Bryan, 24, and Matros have been friends since fifth grade but only began dating two years ago.

Bryan plays the lead in the ESPN film "Codebreakers," which premieres Dec. 12. He's also filming the Hollywood feature, "Fast & Furious 3: Tokyo Drift."
