Disney to air 'Once Upon a Mattress'

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Tracey Ullman stars as Princess Winnifred in ABC-TV's upcoming "Wonderful World of Disney" presentation of "Once Upon a Mattress."

The film, scheduled to air Dec. 18, also features Matthew Morrison, Denis O'Hare, Zooey Deschanel, Michael Boatman, Edward Hibbert and Tommy Smothers as King Sextimus, Playbill reported Friday.

Carol Burnett -- who made her Broadway debut in the 1959 version of "Once Upon a Mattress," and appeared in two TV versions in 1964 and 1972 -- is back a fourth time, this time in the roll of Queen Aggravain.

"Once Upon a Mattress" is the Tony-nominated musical comedy adaptation of the story "The Princess and the Pea" -- with lyrics by Marshall Barer and music by Mary Rodgers, daughter of legendary composer Richard Rodgers.
