CBS announces Johnny Cash tribute

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Dwight Yoakam, Norah Jones and the Foo Fighters are among the artists lined up for a CBS tribute to Johnny Cash.

The one-hour special airing Nov. 16 will also feature performances from U2, Brad Paisley, Sheryl Crow, Allison Krauss and Kris Kristofferson, Zap2it.com reported Friday.

CBS is airing "I Walk the Line: A Night for Johnny Cash" two days before the U.S. release of Hollywood's Cash biopic "Walk the Line," starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon.

The film stars will participate in the TV special along with actor Dennis Quaid, Zap2it.com said.
