Judge says no to 'Real World' injunction

KEY WEST, Fla., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- A Florida judge has rejected a Key West couple's request for an injunction that would have stopped production on MTV's "The Real World."

Ed and Nancy Swift sought the injunction against the reality show filming next door, claiming the lights used for filming were too bright, the filming actually constituted a business in a residential zone and the "Real World" house next door was a nuisance, Zap2it.com reported.

Monroe Circuit Judge Mark Jones denied the injunction Tuesday, saying all the problems cited by the couple were "temporary," the Key West Citizen reported.

The judge did, however, tell producers not to add any more lights and grounded the helicopters that had been taking aerial shots of the "Real World" house.

MTV is scheduled to wrap the Key West series in December.
