Former secretary of state makes WB debut

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright will play herself in an upcoming episode of the WB TV series "Gilmore Girls."

Albright will be in the Oct. 25 episode offering advice to Rory, played by Alexis Bledel, as the character is about to celebrate her 21st birthday, Zap2it.com reported Tuesday.

Albright filmed her scene last month.

"I am a big fan of 'Gilmore Girls' and I had a great time," she said. "It was an opportunity to do something different for a quick minute, and I learned how hard it is to memorize those lines."
