NEW YORK, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Oscar-nominated "Super Size Me" filmmaker Morgan Spurlock Tuesday announced he has signed a one-year development deal with Sony Pictures Television.

Spurlock said his production banner, Warrior Poets, will work on scripted and unscripted projects for Sony properties.

"I am extremely excited to be working together with Sony Pictures Television," Spurlock said in a release. "I can't think of a better partner to help our production company to grow in new directions."

The first project out of the gate will be "Public Nuisance" for Comedy Central.
