LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Emmy-winner Cynthia Nixon played a patient at County General on NBC's "ER" last season and is now seeking treatment from Dr. Gregory "House" on Fox.

Nixon, probably best known as "Miranda" from HBO's "Sex and the City," will guest star on "House" as a woman suffering unexplained seizures, Zap2it.com reported Friday.

In addition to 2004 Emmy for "Sex," Nixon has three other Emmy nominations -- including one for her portrayal of Eleanor Roosevelt for the HBO movie, "Warm Springs."

"House" is on haitus while Fox broadcasts the baseball playoffs and is scheduled to return Nov. 1.
