NEW YORK, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Culture Club singer Boy George was arrested on drug charges Friday at his loft apartment in New York.
The British native whose real name is George O'Dowd was arrested when police found cocaine in his apartment while answering a burglary call that turned out to be a hoax, WABC-TV reported.
Upon arriving at the apartment, police saw cocaine sitting near a computer. Upon obtaining a search warrant, police said they discovered a "large quantity."
O'Dowd was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
