New Dick Wolf drama to hit NBC

NEW YORK, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- "Law & Order" producer Dick Wolf is creating another new legal drama for NBC called "Conviction."

The midseason series will focus on a group of young, inexperienced New York district attorneys trying to cope with high-profile cases, TV Week reported Thursday.

Wolf will recycle sets used for his canceled "Law & Order: Trial By Jury," TV Week said.

"I'm pleased and gratified that the gamble that was taken to hold the 'Trial by Jury' sets in place has paid off," Wolf said in a statement.

Casting for the series is under way.
