Holly Deveaux to play Casey Anthony
NEW YORK, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Detroit rockers the White Stripes have been tapped to break new ground, performing on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show With John Stewart."
The fake news show will have its first musical performance Dec. 1, Billboard.com reported Wednesday.
"We've never had a musical performance on the show before -- not because we haven't wanted one -- but because we were holding out for a reunited Spandau Ballet," Stewart said. "This will have to suffice."
The Stripes just came off a North American tour and are getting ready to start the European leg Oct. 16 in Paris.
