PARIS, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Back and hip pain sent U.S. actress Jane Fonda to a Paris hospital Monday, and she missed a screening of a documentary about her late husband, Roger Vadim.
Fonda, 67, had been scheduled to go to Saint-Tropez to see "Vadim, This Billionaire of Happiness," about the French film director who died in 2000, E! Online reported.
Fonda and Vadim were married from 1965 to 1973 and in 1968, he directed her in the cult classic "Barbarella."
The two-time Oscar winner and 1980s fitness guru was suffering severe hip and back pain when she decided to seek medical treatment instead of flying to the French Riviera for the documentary. The results of X-rays taken Monday morning were not revealed.
Fonda had hip-replacement surgery this summer.
