Top actors teach budget classes

LONDON, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Actors Ewan McGregor, Patrick Stewart and Imelda Staunton are teaching cut-rate drama courses in London for aspiring British thespians.

The $68 a session classes are part of Britain's innovative Film Lab project at London's prestigious Actor's Center, the World Entertainment News Network reported Friday.

Center directors are bracing for a rush of registrations now that the teachers' names have become public.

"In the (United) States, a lot of actors take classes on a regular basis, but the unique feature of Film Lab is that people will not be selected by only those who can pay," Artistic Director Matthew Lloyd said. "The course will run for 12 months and we will be able to use the performers when they're available. We'll fit in with their diaries."
