NASHVILLE, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Multi-platinum country singer Gretchen Wilson says recent reports about voice problems are much ado about nothing.
Wilson cited "vocal fatigue" in postponing one October show and canceling two others, but she says she just needed to spend the month resting and preparing for her Revolution Tour with Big & Rich in November.
"It's probably just a little more of a little physical and mental fatigue," Wilson explains. "I'm gonna rest. I haven't rested for a long time, and I'm looking real forward to staying at home and just trying to feel better.
"I've just worked my butt off for the last 18 months, and I need a break is all it is."
Wilson has just released her sophomore album, "All Jacked Up," the successor to 2004's "Here For the Party," which has sold nearly 5 million copies and made her the top-selling artist in all musical genres for 2004.
