NEW YORK, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- The husband of two-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters, Michael Wittenberg, has been killed in a helicopter crash, it was reported Tuesday.
Wittenberg, 43, was on a business trip in Serbia-Montenegro when the helicopter he was riding in went down Monday, a Peters rep told Playbill.

Peters married the investment adviser at the home of Mary Tyler Moore in July 1996.
The couple had no children, Playbill said.
Peters won Tonys for her Broadway roles in "Song & Dance" and "Annie Get Your Gun."
