CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif., Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Layzie Bone nearly lost a finger when an irate fan tried to bite it off during a scuffle in Cathedral City, Calif.
Layzie, Krayzie and Wish Bone were in Palm Springs, Calif., to perform Saturday but the show was canceled because of permit problems, sources told MTV.com.
Instead, Bone and his wife invited some people over to hang out in their room at the Holiday Inn Express in Cathedral City. A fan apparently angered by the cancellation attacked the rapper in his hotel room and bit one of his fingers clear through to the bone, MTV said.
Although police were called, they told MTV the rapper refused to press charges or cooperate with authorities once they got there.
Bone was taken to an area hospital where doctors were able to save the finger and he and his wife went to Hawaii where he was reported resting Monday, the sources said.
The group is expected to continue recording its latest album in a couple of weeks, MTV said.
