'Alice in Wonderland' goes 3D

LONDON, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- The original handwritten manuscript of Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" has been added to the British Library's virtual collection.

The story, originally called "Alice's Adventures Under Ground," can be read in 3D as part of the library's Turning the Pages collection, the BBC reported Thursday.

The Web site uses Flash technology to turn the pages while audio plays simultaneously.

"Alice" joins 14 other rare books now online including the "Diamond Sutra," Jane Austen's "History of England," the ""Leonardo Notebook," the "Lindisfarne Gospels" and the "Mercator Atlas of Europe."
