NEW YORK, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- The lawyer for jailed rapper Lil' Kim reportedly wants to have her moved from an urban Philadelphia high-rise prison to a rural prison camp.
Kimberly Jones reported Monday to the Philadelphia prison to serve her year-and-a-day perjury sentence for lying to a grand jury investigating a shooting outside a New York radio station.
The Philadelphia Federal Detention Center is an 11-story high rise that houses on one floor women serving minimum- and low-security sentences.
Jones' attorney, Londell McMillan" class="tpstyle">L. Londell McMillan, told the New York Post his client "feels she's going to be fine," but added, "It's just not the best place to have people work off their time and grow during the process."
He said City of Philadelphia would also benefit if she was moved to a rural setting.
"There's so much traffic from people screaming for Lil' Kim at the prison," he said.
