NYC adds second Katrina benefit show

NEW YORK, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- So many artists wanted to be in New York's benefit concert for Hurricane Katrina's victims, the overflow has been moved to Radio City Music Hall.

Tom Waits, Dave Matthews, Trey Anastasio, John Mayer Trio, Joss Stone, the Meters, Galactic with the Mardi Gras Indians and Ray Lamontagne will play Sept. 20 at Radio City Music Hall the same time as a slew of other artists perform at Madison Square Garden, Billboard.com reported Tuesday.

The Madison Square Garden concert will feature Simon & Garfunkel, Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, Kermit Ruffins, Irma Thomas, Clarence "Frogman" Henry, Dave Bartholomew and Troy "Tromboneshorty" Andrews, Elton John, Jimmy Buffett, John Fogerty, Lenny Kravitz, Ry Cooder, Stevie Nicks, Fats Domino and Bette Midler.

Proceeds from the concerts will be donated to such organizations as the Bush Clinton Katrina Fund, Habitat for Humanity, the MusiCares Hurricane Relief Fund and the Children's Health Fund.
