ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept. 8 (UPI) -- A pushy photographer trying to snap actress Reese Witherspoon's 6-year-old daughter's birthday party at Disneyland allegedly made the little girl cry.

Todd K. Wallace, 44, of Beverly Hills was cited for misdemeanor assault and battery Friday for allegedly pushing Disney employees while they were escorting Witherspoon, her children and their friends across the park, the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday.

Anaheim Police Sgt. Rick Martinez said Wallace pushed one employee "with his entire body, not just once but numerous times. He refused to stop and move away."

A second Disney employee who came to help was also allegedly assaulted, Martinez said.

Witherspoon's attorney told the Times the children were so frightened they started to cry.

"For the paparazzi to commit a violent act to get a magazine photo is bad enough," attorney Blair Beck said. "But to do it in front of children at the Happiest Place on Earth and make them cry is despicable."
