NEW YORK, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Broadway and country stars will combine for a one-night fundraiser for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, it was announced Wednesday.

"Broadway Meets Country" is scheduled Nov. 12 at New York's Lincoln Center to coincide with the Nov. 15 Country Music Association Awards ceremony, which is moving to the Big Apple from Nashville this year.

Funds raised by the event will go to the Actors' Fund of America and the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, Playbill reported.

Among the Broadway stars slated to perform are Tony Award winners Bernadette Peters, Idina Menzel, Brian Stokes Mitchell and two-time Tony nominee Patrick Wilson. Trace Adkins, Raul Malo, Lee Ann Womack and Trisha Yearwood will represent the country music industry.
