'View' co-hosts defend S.E. Cupp over Hustler photo
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Actor Jared Leto says he's as committed to music, via his band 30 Seconds to Mars, as he is to his work in films.
"I've been making music since I was a little kid," says Leto, 33, who's appeared in "Fight Club," "Alexander" and the new "Lord of War." "I think it's my whole life, basically, writing the songs and having the opportunity to tell these stories. It comes from an incredibly personal place."
Leto, who sings and plays guitar, formed 30 Seconds to Mars with his brother, drummer Shannon Leto. They put out their first album in 2002, then put together a full band to tour and subsequently record the new "A Beautiful Lie."
30 Seconds to Mars toured all summer to advance "A Beautiful Life" and has sporadic dates scheduled for the fall.
