Hollywood rushes to hurricane aid

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Celine Dion, Nic Cage and Hilary Duff have all made sizable donations to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Dion and Cage have pledged $1 million each to the American Red Cross, while teenage star Duff sent $250,000 to the Red Cross and a food pantry, "Access Hollywood" reports.

Ellen DeGeneres was putting together a relief fund that will be announced on her TV show Monday, "Access Hollywood" said. The fund will start with $500,000 from Warner Bros. Entertainment, which will match donations up to another $500,000.

Actor Morgan Freeman organized an online auction that opened Friday at charityfolks.com to raise money for disaster relief as well.
