LOS ANGELES, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- The gay TV network Here! is developing what is believed to be the United States' first lesbian action hero, it was reported Thursday.

Mariel Hemingway and David Keith are starring in "Her Line of Fire," the story of a lesbian Secret Service agent who must protect the vice president against anti-American guerillas when his plane crashes in hostile territory, Daily Variety reported Thursday.

The $5 million telepic starts shooting in New Zealand next week with an early 2006 airing planned.
