'SNL' veterans join 'Southland' cast

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- "Saturday Night Live" veterans Cheri Oteri, Amy Poehler and Jon Lovitz have signed on for Richard Kelly's indie film "Southland Tales."

Already on board were Miranda Richardson, John Larroquette,Sarah Michelle Gellar, Seann William Scott and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the Hollywood Reporter said.

Jill Ritchie, Will Sasso, Wood Harris, Bai Ling, Joe Campana and Wallace Shawn were also cast in the film currently shooting in Los Angeles.

The movie is about a futuristic City of Angels "as it teeters on the brink of social, economic and environmental disaster," the Reporter said.
