Imax adds more stars to moon movie

TORONTO, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Imax Corp. Tuesday added Gary Sinise, Matt Damon, Matthew McConaughey and John Travolta to "Magnificent Desolation: Walking on the Moon 3D."

Tom Hanks is narrating the movie, which also features the voices of Paul Newman, Rita Wilson, Morgan Freeman, Bill Paxton, Donnie Wahlberg, John Corbett, Barry Pepper, Bryan Cranston, Scott Glenn, Rick Gomez, Frank John Hughes and Tim Matheson, the Hollywood Reporter said.

"Magnificent Desolation" uses NASA footage, live-action and computer-generated imagery to tell the story of the only 12 astronauts to walk on the moon.

It is scheduled to open in Imax theaters Sept. 23.
