LONDON, Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow says she doesn't discuss her union with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin because "our marriage is between us."
In an interview with Time magazine, Paltrow said her former boyfriend Brad Pitt and his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston are learning what happens when celebs reveal too much about their personal lives.
"I learned my lesson at 24," she told Time. "It would be a lot easier on Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston now had they not talked to the press about each other and everything to begin with."
Paltrow said she refuses to publicly discuss her marriage with Martin or even appear in photos with him.
She said reporters asked where the British rocker was during last year's Academy Awards ceremony and her response was: "Why on Earth would I bring my husband?"
"Our marriage is between us," she said. "If we decide to continue being together or not, it's our business."
The couple has a 15-month-old daughter, Apple.
