ABC to bring back 'This is Your Life'

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 29 (UPI) -- ABC-TV has ordered six episodes of a remake of the classic TV show, "This is Your Life," it was announced Monday.

Gary Edwards, the son of creator Ralph Edwards, 92, is executive producer of the new incarnation, ABC TV and Fox Television Studios announced in a joint release.

Edwards created "This is Your Life" in the late 1940s for radio and it ran for nearly a decade after moving to TV in 1952. The show featured a surprise guest and a retelling of the guest's life with people from the guest's past making appearances.

No airdate has been set by ABC.
