NEW YORK, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Robert Redford says he is eager to work again with fellow Hollywood actor Paul Newman but warns fans not to expect sequels to their previous films.
"I think it's surprising nothing came to us in 20 years, considering Hollywood's penchant for doing sequels and remakes," said the star of the upcoming drama, "An Unfinished Life."
"Do you do a sequel to 'The Sting'? No. We leave that alone. It was a good movie. It is what it was and don't try to milk it. Do a sequel to 'Butch Cassidy'? Well, the guys died. What is it going to be? A spiritual film? Well, how about a prequel? No, that's pretty desperate," Redford told reporters in New York Thursday. "Then all these years went by and nobody ever came up with any ideas that were anything but corny or low-grade, so we just decided, probably, it wasn't going to happen, but now there is something rolling around that we're talking about."
Redford offered no further details about the project.
