Former drummer sues Fuel

ALLENTOWN, Pa., Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Former Fuel drummer Kevin Miller has filed suit against his old band claiming he was cheated out of recording and touring revenues.

Miller, a native of Allentown, Pa., who drummed for Fuel from 1997 to 2004, is seeking unspecified damages, the Allentown Morning Call reports.

Fuel Touring Inc., Fuel Publishing Inc. and Fuel Recording Inc., all of Bethlehem Township, Pa., were named in the suit.

The suit claims the four members of Fuel agreed each would get 25 percent of all profits from touring revenue, 6.5 percent of publishing royalties and 25 percent of revenues from its recording contract with Sony Records.

The suit says Miller was "ousted" from the band in August 2004, well after the group received a $3 million advance from Sony for its "Natural Selection" album. Miller claims he was given only $212,000 out of the advance because the deal with Sony was signed before he came aboard.

The suit also charges Fuel told him they did not owe him anything for his last tour because they "did not make any money," the suit said.
