Latin Grammy nominees announced

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Singer/songwriter Bebe led all nominees for the sixth annual Latin Grammy Awards with five nods Tuesday.

The Spanish artist was nominated for album of the year, record of the year, song of the year and best new artist, Daily Variety announced.

Marc Anthony, Puerto Rico's Obie Bermudez, Colombia's Juanes and Mexico's Aleks Syntek each garnered three nominations and 14 others collected two nominations each.

The nominees were announced at the Henry Fonda Music Box Theatre in Hollywood. The 2005 Latin Grammys will be doled out Nov. 3 at the Shrine Auditorium and telecast live on the Spanish-language Univision Network.
