Man charged with stabbing Brown nephew

ATLANTA, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- A 27-year-old man has been charged with stabbing singer Bobby Brown's nephew at Sean "Diddy" Combs' Atlanta restaurant.

Marque Dixson was indicted Friday on one count of aggravated assault and two counts of aggravated battery, the World Entertainment News Network reported.

Brown and his relatives were celebrating his father's birthday at Justin's Restaurant and Bar May 23 when a fight broke out. Brown was not involved in the skirmish, but his nephew was one of two people in the party stabbed in the neck.

Dixson was free on $50,000 bond, authorities said.

Brown and his wife, Whitney Houston, live in suburban Atlanta.
