NEW YORK, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Cable TV's Independent Film Channel is launching a new comedy hour Friday night.
Heading up IFC's new block of shows will be "Hopeless Pictures," a scathing, animated look at Hollywood, featuring the voices of Michael McKean, Bob Balaban, Jennifer Coolidge and Jonathan Katz.
Following "Hopeless" will be "Greg the Bunny," a series of puppet parodies of iconic movies like "The Godfather" and "Easy Rider."
The last segment of the lineup will be "The Festival," a documentary-style comedy that follows a young filmmaker (Nicolas Wright) through his first Sundance-style film festival.
The comedy hour is slated to run Friday nights at 10 p.m. in the Eastern and Pacific time zones.
