Drummer Vinnie Paul assembled the 24-second solo from Pantera outtakes and gave it to the Vancouver band for a tribute to his brother on its upcoming album "All the Right Reasons," MTV.com reports.
"Side of a Bullet" was written three months after the shooting rampage at Damageplan concert in Ohio that left Dimebag and four others dead.
The song, written by Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger, includes call-and-response lyrics from a Pantera fan vowing revenge, unaware the shooter had been killed by police.
"I was very upset, and for two months, if I saw his picture somewhere I would get angry," Kroeger told MTV. "I hadn't lost somebody to a shooting before -- it wasn't as though he'd been killed in some sort of accident. He was taken in such a horrible, malicious way that just made it more painful."
