NEW YORK, Aug. 18 (UPI) --
Billy Joel's musical "Movin' Out" will be moving out of Broadway before the year's end, it was announced Thursday.
The show will close Dec. 11 after its 1,331st performance at the Richard Rodgers Theater, Daily Variety reported.
The show was slammed during Chicago previews, but director-choreographer Twyla Tharp extensively reworked it, and it opened to good reviews on Broadway in October 2004.
The show surpassed the its $8 million cost last fall, Variety said.
