LOS ANGELES, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Rocker Neil Young has signed a new, multi-album deal with Reprise records, it was announced Tuesday.

Young was with Reprise from 1969 to 1983, took five years out to record on Geffen and returned to Reprise in 1988, Billboard.com reported.

His next studio album, "Prairie Wind" will be released by Reprise Sept. 27.

Reprise said the new deal will include a series of archival releases featuring studio recordings, rarities and live material.

In a release announcing the deal, Young noted: "When you're with a company that long, it's like a family."
