NEW YORK, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- A majority of James Bond fans voting in an online poll overwhelmingly said they'd like to see Angelina Jolie reprise the Bond girl role, Pussy Galore.

A thousand men and women participated in the survey conducted by cable network AMC to publicize its blitz of James Bond movies, "The Complete Bond: 1962-1989."

Forty percent chose Jolie to reprise the femme fatale role, followed by Charlize Theron at 14 percent, Pamela Anderson at 13 percent, 10 percent for Jessica Alba and 4 percent for Lindsay Lohan.

The majority, 29 percent, picked Halle Berry as the sexiest Bond Girl ever, with Ursula Andress second at 12 percent.

Jolie's signature character, "Lara Croft," was chosen by 29 percent of the respondents as the most capable female movie character to beat Agent 007 in a fight.

Uma Thurman's character, "The Bride" from the "Kill Bill" movies was second with 14 percent and "Jiao Long" played by Ziyi Zhang in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" tied for third with Jennifer Garner's "Elektra," both with 12 percent of the votes.
