Ohio teen wins Miss Teen USA pageant

BATON ROUGE, La., Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Allie LaForce, a 16-year-old aspiring broadcaster from Vermillion, Ohio, has been named Miss Teen USA 2005.

LaForce was crowned after swimsuit, evening gown and interview competitions broadcast live by NBC from Baton Rouge, La., Monday night.

Among the celebrity judges were Kathy Hilton of NBC's "I Want to be a Hilton;" "America's Next Top Model" winner Naima Mora; Shane McRae of NBC's "Four Kings;" Danica Stewart from NBC's "Passions;" Matt Ellis of "Tommy Lee Goes to College" and music producer Lou Pearlman.

Catherie Laurion of Michigan was first runner up, followed by Andrea Turner of West Virginia and Stephanie Brink of California.
