Howard Stern takes video to pay TV

NEW YORK, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Fans of New York shock jock Howard Stern will have to pay to hear his daily talk show on satellite radio or view the TV version on In Demand.

In Demand Wednesday announced a 3-year deal with Stern, which will give viewers an uncensored look at what's going on behind the scenes as Stern broadcasts his radio show over Sirius satellite radio.

Cable networks will be offered the Stern show via its subscription video-on-demand service, which will cost viewers $10 a month.

Financial terms of the deal between Stern and In Demand were not revealed, but it will also include a number of pay-per-view events to be produced by Stern.

Stern's radio show is to debut on Sirius in January. His deal with the satellite network will reportedly pay him $100 million a year for five years.
