MTV adds to awards performer list

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- MTV Tuesday added Mariah Carey and The Killers to its roster of live performers during its "2005 MTV Video Music Awards."

Sean "P.Diddy" Combs will host the awards at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami. Previously announced performers include Kanye West, Kelly Clarkson and Green Day.

The ceremony will be broadcast live on MTV started at 8 p.m. with a tape delay for the U.S. west coast.
