LOS ANGELES, Yukon, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- U.S. soap star Eva La Rue is moving from daytime to primetime TV.

La Rue will play a lab specialist in the upcoming season of "CSI: Miami" on CBS, the Hollywood Reporter said Monday.

La Rue earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for her longtime portrayal of Dr. Maria Santos on ABC's "All My Children" and had a recurring role last season on ABC's "George Lopez" as the star's sister, Linda.

For the fourth season of "CSI: Miami," La Rue will play Natalia Boa Vista, a lab specialist who works on unsolved cases, the Reporter said.
