CBS to air 'Walker, Texas Ranger' TV flick

DALLAS, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- "Walker Texas Ranger" is blazing his way back to CBS for a made-for-television movie.

Nearly five years after the popular Chuck Norris show ended its eight seasons on the air, the cast is in Dallas shooting "Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire," set to air sometime during the 2005-2006 season, Zap2it.com reported.

Norris, Sheree J. Wilson, Clarence Gilyard and Judson Mills are all reprising their roles and former "Northern Exposure" star Janine Turner will turn up in the role of a forensics expert.

The movie has Walker (Norris) pulling double duty protecting a 13-year-old who finds a critical piece of a missile guidance system, and trying to clear a ranger who ends up being accused of murder, Zap2it. reported Monday.

The movie is being directed by Norris' brother Aaron and was penned by veteran "Walker" writers John Lansing and Bruce Cervi.
