Brittnany Murphy signs with Jordache

LOS ANGELES, July 25 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Brittany Murphy's next starring role will be in the U.S. advertising campaign for Jordache's Vintage line, it was announced Monday.

The first ad featuring the "Sin City" and "8 Mile" star comes out Aug. 1, Zap2it.com reported.

"We chose Brittany as our model because she epitomizes everything that the updated Jordache brand is about," Jordache Enterprises President Liz Berlinger said. "She is a classic beauty with an individual sense of style. That really comes across when you meet her."

Jordache was the "it" brand for jeans in the late 1970s and the Vintage line is popular with celebrities and fashionistas.
